Who We Are

Mission: Fox Valley Memory Project collaborates with other organizations to build communities that welcome, include, and support persons with dementia, their care partners and their families.

We encourage practices of hospitality and inclusion that make our community dementia-friendly.

Our vision for living well with dementia includes Memory Cafes, Memory Loss Resource Center, Community Outreach and Education, Purple Angel Dementia Awareness Training, and Memory Assessment referral information.

We support area businesses and organizations by providing dementia-friendly trainings to better serve our community’s citizens.

What We Do

At Fox Valley Memory Project, we are dedicated to supporting individuals with memory loss and their care partners by fostering connection, understanding, and a sense of community. Our programs and services are designed to enhance quality of life, promote social engagement, and provide valuable resources for those impacted by dementia.

  • Dementia Capability Training: Provide education and training to foster dementia-friendly environments.
  • On a Positive Note: Facilitate a dementia-friendly chorus, creating joy and connection through music.
  • Social Meet-Ups: Organize activities like Lunch Bunch gatherings and bus trips to encourage social engagement.
  • Mindworks: Offer a structured, classroom-style program featuring small group activities to stimulate participants while providing much-needed respite for care partners.
  • Caregiver Support: Facilitate TLC Caregiver Support Groups and share information about additional support resources available throughout the Fox Valley area.
