Who We Are
Mission: To provide environmental education and recreation that foster understanding, appreciation and sound stewardship of the natural world for people of all ages
Mosquito Hill Nature Center is an environmental education and recreation facility operated by the Outagamie County Parks Department. The center is open year-round on 441 acres adjacent to the Wolf River. An 11,000 square-foot interpretive building features natural history exhibits, hands-on displays, a gift shop, themed classrooms, meeting rooms, library and office.
What We Do
We offer educational field trips for schools and youth groups, scheduling weekend programs for families and the general public, hosting large seasonal festivals, managing our 441-acre site by preserving the native plant and animal communities, and much more.
Volunteers are the back bone of our education and recreation missions at MHNC. we’re always looking for dedicated folks to help us with the following activities: public events, school field trips, design and planning, fundraising, office coverage, outdoor and indoor maintenance, trail work, invasive plant removal, and gardening.
