On a walking tour, see first-hand Riverview Gardens’ programs in action, gain a better understanding of how our social enterprises work and discover the sense of community that exists as people are part of their own solution.
Walking tours take place on the first Wednesday of each month MAY-OCTOBER only, 4:30-5:45pm, weather permitting. The walking tour starts promptly at 4:30pm starting at the picnic table next to the parking lot of the Riverview Gardens Community Center, 1101 S. Oneida Street, Appleton, WI 54915. This tour includes a 1-2 mile walk throughout the property, highlighting the park space, hydroponics greenhouse, orchards, earn-a-bike shop, urban farm, apiary and future prairie. The walking tour is over uneven and hilly terrain. Please wear appropriate attire and closed-toed shoes.
