Volunteers participate in packaging, labeling, sorting, or cleaning projects. This could range from labeling canned goods to be shipped to food pantries, sorting meat products to provide meal programs with real protein, boxing fresh produce to send to homeless shelters, or packing bulk product into family friendly sized portions.
Shifts are available from 9:00am-11:30am and 1:30pm-3:30pm, Monday through Friday.
One Saturday morning per month is available for groups on a first come, first serve basis.
Families are encouraged to serve. Children must be at least 10 years old and children under 14 must be with guardian.

Volunteer: Tribal Food Box Packing Event - Appleton Area VolunteersWe are in need of volunteers to help us pack traditional tribal foods into boxes every other Wednesday beginning May 15th until December 4th. The goal of this project is to distribute about 2000 after each pack. Each box will contain perishable Indigenously sourced food items The packing will take place on-site at Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin in Appleton. Volunteers will meet at the Appleton Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin warehouse no later than 8:00am for the first shift that runs until 10:45am, or 11:30am for the second that runs until 2:15pm. At the start time, we will walk through what is being packed that day, and the different needs and tasks to be accomplished. Volunteer: Cook / Baker for Dementia Respite Center--they'll love your food!Cooks and bakers volunteering with Living Spirit help by making and preparing lunch for 16 or making baked treats for 16 to be enjoyed at morning coffee. Lunches and baked treats can be prepared on-site in the First English Lutheran Church kitchen, or prepared off-site and delivered to the kitchen, either fresh or frozen. Cooks are encouraged to help serve lunch and clean-up afterward, but that is not required. They'll love your food, and you'll love working with them!
