Position Overview

Bethany is seeking friendly, dependable volunteers to help with one of our residents’ favorite activities, Bingo! 

Ideal Candidate

·      A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

·      Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with the elderly, including those with hearing or memory loss.

·      Reliability and consistency in attendance.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·      Active Participation: Help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and socializing.

·      Collaboration: Work with Bethany staff to identify residents interested in attending Bingo.

·      Resident Transportation: Assist residents in wheelchairs or walkers from their rooms to the game room. (helpful but not required)

 

Time Commitment

Shifts are currently available on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.

The shift begins at 1:30pm and ends at approximately 3:15pm. 

 

All volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB test.

Bethany has several church services held throughout the week at the Bethany Chapel. Volunteers are needed to help bring residents to and from church services. 

Ideal Candidate

·      A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

·      Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with the elderly, including those with hearing or memory loss.

·      Reliability and consistency in attendance.

·      Candidates must be independent, physically able to push wheelchairs.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·      Resident Transportation: Assist residents in wheelchairs or walkers from their rooms to the chapel.

·      Active Participation: Help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and socializing.

·      Collaboration: Work with Bethany staff to identify residents interested in attending services.

 

Time Commitment

Shifts are currently available on Wednesday and Sunday mornings.  

The shift begins at 10:00 am and ends at approximately 12:00 pm. 

All volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB test.
