Needs From: Get Connected - Volunteer Fox Cities

Aid in the artful removal of donations from residential and commercial buildings! Help remove a full kitchen set or empty out a retail store! All salvaged items are then brought to and sold at the ReStore to generate funds for Habitat for Humanity.

Deconstructions are typically scheduled Wednesdays from 8am-12pm. Volunteers must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Help create a welcoming shopping experience and keep customers coming back! Customer Service Volunteers greet guests, answer questions, assist with carrying purchases to vehicles, and help maintain an organized, well-merchandised sales floor.

Available shifts are Monday - Saturday 10:00 AM-2:00 PM, 2:00-6:00 PM and 4:00-6:00 PM. Time Commitment: Preferred availability of 1–2 shifts per week (especially Fridays and Saturdays); however, candidates available 1–2 shifts per month are also welcome. Reasonable accommodations will be provided.

Join us and help our customers complete their sale! Cashiers provide great customer service, educate and enforce store policies, handle money, operate a point-of-sale system, and of course, smile! Due to extra responsibility of cashiering, we require (and provide) training, and ask cashiers to commit to at least one (1) shift every other week.

Available shifts are currently Saturday from 10:00 AM-2:00 PM and 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, and occasional weeknights from 2:00-6:00 PM.
Time Commitment: Preferred availability of 1–2 shifts per week; however, candidates available for 1–2 shifts per month are also welcome. Reasonable accommodations will be provided.

Pricing Attendant volunteers:
1. Full understanding of our pricing structure (training included)
2. Ability to price items using ReStore pricing guide and Google Lens. 
3. Ability to use a variety of cleaning products to clean donations as needed.

Quality Control volunteers:
1. Identify items that need a little TLC in order make them sellable, items that can be recycled, and items that can be given to other organizations
2. Ability to use a variety of cleaning products to clean donations
3. Ability to make minor repairs on donated items
4. Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Offer ease to our donors as you and a fellow volunteer drive our ReStore box truck throughout the community and pick up donations! Due to extra responsibility of driving a truck, we require (and provide) training, a clean driving record and ask drivers to commit to at least one (1) shift every other week. Must have the ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Donations Attendants:
1. Assist staff in the day-to-day activities of the ReStore backroom.
2. Greet the donors and be able to identify acceptable and unacceptable donations.
3. Assist in unloading donations and purchases from our donors and vendors.
4. Ability to use a variety of cleaning products to clean/sanitize donations.
5. Assist with pricing merchandise to place on the sales floor.
6. Assist with keeping the store clean and tidy by sweeping, vacuuming, mopping and dusting.
7. Promote and maintain a safe and clean work environment.

We do not accept the following charges having to do with larceny, theft, forgery, breaking & entering, and any violent or sexual offenses. Additionally, we do not accept charges for possessing, selling or distributing illegal drugs.

We are unable to accept anyone with less than 20 hours of court-mandated community service hours to complete. All potential volunteers must pass a background check per our organization's guidelines.
