Imagine needing to get to a medical appointment, the grocery store, or simply visit a friend—but not having a way to get there. For many seniors and individuals with disabilities, this is a daily reality. You can change that.

We’re looking for compassionate volunteer accessible van drivers to help provide safe, reliable transportation in our community.

As a volunteer driver, you will:

·         Transport individuals who use wheelchairs or have mobility challenges

·         Help passengers enter and exit the accessible van safely

·         Offer a friendly, supportive presence along the way

What you give:

·         A few hours of your time (flexible scheduling)

·         A caring attitude and willingness to help others

No special experience? No problem. Training is provided—we’ll make sure you feel confident every step of the way

We’re looking for volunteers to serve as companions for riders learning to navigate the Oshkosh Go Transit system. Volunteers should have a good understanding of local bus routes and be willing to ride along for a few trips to provide guidance and support.

This role is flexible and incredibly rewarding—your time can help someone access essential services, appointments, and community activities with confidence.

Originating in the Netherlands, the Cycling Without Age movement has grown in popularity across the U.S.—and now Make the Ride Happen is bringing it to our community!

We’re preparing to offer rides for adults age 60+ on scenic trails, to appointments, and to community events using a motorized trishaw. This isn’t about intense exercise—it’s about connection, fresh air, and creating joyful experiences.

We’re currently looking for “pilots” to operate the trishaw. Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast or simply someone who enjoys spending time outdoors with older adults, this is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity.

A ride may seem small — but for a senior or a person with a disability, it can mean everything.
Volunteers are needed to drive adults age 60+ or persons with a disability who do not use a wheelchair to medical appointments, the grocery store, the beauty shop, or simply to visit friends in Oshkosh and the Fox Cities communities. For many older adults, these trips are their lifeline to independence, dignity, and connection.
This is personal, neighbor-to-neighbor service. Volunteers use their own car and gas, offering more than just a ride — they offer companionship, reassurance, and kindness.
Scheduling is flexible. Serve just a half day a month or sign in to our software and pick rides as your schedule allows.
A few hours of your time can ease loneliness, reduce stress, and remind someone they are not alone.
