We currently have a 7-year-old girl waiting to be matchedwith a mentor. This bubbly, bright and inquisitive young girl currently lives with relatives in Appleton. She enjoys arts and crafts, dancing and gymnastics. She is interested in spending time at libraries, parks and going to get donuts together!She is excited to be matched with a mentor!

We currently have a 12-year-old boy from Hortonville waiting to be matched with a mentor. This polite and talkative boy has a variety of interests including basketball, fishing and riding his bike. He also really enjoys drawing and working with his hands. He loves his two cats and hopes to become a veterinarian when he grows up.

We currently have a 13-year-old boy from Kaukauna waiting to be matched with a mentor. This funny, energetic boy lives with his mother and would really enjoy spending time with a male mentor. He has a variety of interests including sports, biking and playing Chess. He also enjoys science experiments and learning about astronomy. We are hoping to find him a mentor soon!

We currently have a 12-year-old girl from Appleton waiting to be matched with a mentor. This friendly and bubbly girl enjoys drawing, photography and anything arts and crafts related. She absolutely loves animal and hopes to become a veterinarian when she grows up. She has mentioned feeling misunderstood and overlooked at home and is excited to spend some one-on-one time with a mentor.

The Outagamie County Mentoring Program works with the youth in the community who need us the most. We match kids with adults who help them out just by being a friend and spending a few hours a month together. A successful match is life changing for both the mentor and mentee! The youth in our program are between 6-17 years old and have been referred by a social worker from Outagamie County Health and Human Services.

With 30 kids currently on waiting list,  we have a great need for more volunteer mentors.  Mentor matches spend a minimum of 4 hours a month together developing a positive and trusting relationship the youth can rely on. Mentors expose youth to new and positive experiences that enhance self esteem and improve social skills. We find that many mentors enjoy getting to be a kid again with their mentee!

If you mentor with Outagamie County, you will receive all the training and support you need to make your match successful. We sponsor several events each year for our matches and also reimburse for mileage.
