Volunteer: Girls on the Run Board of DirectorsGirls on the Run is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We value the dignity and humanity of all people and are dedicated to being an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible organization. Our organization is currently seeking volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. Because we serve youth from a wide variety of life experiences and backgrounds, it is important to us that our Board of Directors reflects our whole community, therefore we are seeking representation from all parts of our community. Interested individuals are not required to have any previous board experience. There are no specific educational or professional requirements to join. However, we currently have a high need for individuals with finance/accounting, fundraising, legal/risk/litigation, marketing, and strategic planning experience. TERM: Six years - Meetings are held on the second Monday of every other month 5:30pm-7:00pm. Virtual attendance is an option. - Committees meet on the off months at their own preferred time and day. Volunteer: Be a Girls on the Run Coach!Girls on the Run is a youth development program that combines social/emotional learning with physical activity. Running is integrated into lessons about confidence, empowerment, positive relationships, healthy eating, and other life skills to inspire young girls to feel joyful, healthy, and confident. The 10-week program requires teams to meet twice a week for approximately 90 minutes each time.
