Position Overview

Bethany is seeking friendly, dependable volunteers to help with one of our residents’ favorite activities, Bingo! 

Ideal Candidate

·      A compassionate, patient, and empathetic demeanor.

·      Ability to communicate clearly and respectfully with the elderly, including those with hearing or memory loss.

·      Reliability and consistency in attendance.

 

Primary Responsibilities

·      Active Participation: Help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and socializing.

·      Collaboration: Work with Bethany staff to identify residents interested in attending Bingo.

·      Resident Transportation: Assist residents in wheelchairs or walkers from their rooms to the game room. (helpful but not required)

 

Time Commitment

Shifts are currently available on Tuesday and Friday afternoons.

The shift begins at 1:30pm and ends at approximately 3:15pm. 

 

All volunteers are required to complete a background check and TB test.

·      Active Participation: Help create a welcoming environment by greeting residents and socializing.

·      Collaboration: Work with Bethany staff to identify residents interested in attending services.

Girls Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes is seeking troop leaders for many schools, grades, and communities throughout the Fox cities, Oshkosh, Waupaca and surrounding areas. Troop Leaders plan and implement activities and mentor girls.  Troops typically meet 1-2 times per month though out the school year.  Meeting time and locations are flexible and can be customized based on volunteer's schedules.  We have many girls who would love to join a troop, and are just waiting for a leader to step forward!
