Cashiers and Customer Service volunteers needed at the new temporary pop-up store located on Calumet Street in Appleton from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM. Customer service volunteers must be able to help customers load items into their vehicle if necessary.

This endeavor is part of an exciting new partnership with ReVolvs, a salvage company based in Waupaca. The pop-up store will feature curated merchandise, and proceeds will be shared jointly to support our respective missions. By repurposing and reselling these donated items, we’re not only keeping valuable materials out of the landfill, but also generating revenue that directly supports Habitat’s Homebuyer Program, helping families in the Fox Cities achieve safe, stable, and affordable housing.

Join us for the Downtown Appleton Christmas Parade! We are looking for 20-30 volunteers to join our parade float and walk alongside during the parade.

Santa Sleigh & Shop event at Community Benefit Tree. We are looking for groups or individuals to help on Saturday, December 6th. Volunteer Roles include: Greeters, Santa helpers, thrift store assistance, kid activity helpers and more. If interested, please contact office@communitybenefittree.org. Hours of event are 9 am to 12 pm, though volunteers are needed from 8 am-1 pm, including set up and clean up.

•           New file folders

Our biggest holiday need is supporting our adopted families through the gift of 2X and 3X clothes, socks, and undergarments so that they can stay warm and cozy this holiday season.

Donations can be mailed or dropped off at our office (211 E. Franklin St., Suite A, Appleton) Monday–Thursday between 9:00 AM and 4:30 PM.

Bring your smile and giving heart this season. You can do this by coordinating a holiday decoration-making project, card-making, or create fun by having a craft party for the tenants at Linwood Community. Spend time socializing while presenting some holiday entertainment!

Sign up your volunteer group for a 30-minute timeslot at our Holiday Open House on Tuesday, December 2 from 2 PM to 6 PM. Signing up will include the opportunity to volunteer, meet SOAR staff and participants, learn about our mission, and try your luck at our pop-up SOAR escape room! Volunteer tasks include wrapping gifts and making snowflakes.

Winter Wonderland on the Wolf is Friday, December 5, 2025, right in the heart of downtown New London. We transform the city into a magical Winter Wonderland, and we need your help doing so!

Wednesday, November 26 - Set up Winter Wonderland anytime between 8:30a.m. 4:00p.m. in the grass lot next to Longevity Nutrition. Set up consists of things like setting up Christmas trees, inflatables, a trail of lights, arches, moving some hay bails, banners, & other decor.

There are also other slots we are looking to fill on December 5.

The Fox Valley Literacy Adopt-A-Family program is a holiday giving program in which volunteers provide gifts, gift cards, or essential items for student families in our program. This is the first year we are running an Adopt-a-Family program, in response to increased student financial challenges this year. As you can imagine, it takes a lot of supplies to help our dogs grow into confident, capable service dogs for Wisconsin residents in need. We welcome donations of the following items to support their training and care:

Outagamie County Volunteer Services' Thanksgiving Basket program aims to brighten families' days with meaningful meals. Donors can choose how many families to provide meals for or organize a food drive. All Health & Human Services families are screened to ensure they aren’t receiving assistance elsewhere.

Donors can deliver directly to clients or have a Health & Human Services staff member deliver the food. If you choose to feed a family, you’ll receive information about the ages of household members and be matched based on your preferences.

Volunteer Services also offers a holiday opportunity to adopt a family for Christmas! Donors can select how many families to adopt and will receive a wish list to simplify shopping.
