The role of this committee is to create and implement an annual plan that guides the organization in seeking out and securing funding from an array of sources, including fundraising events, grants and individual and corporate donors.

The committee meets the third Wednesday of the month from 5 to 6 p.m. at the CASA office, 211 E. Franklin St., Suite E, Appleton.

No previous fundraising or event planning experience is necessary, but can be helpful.

  TITLE: Member, Community Benefit Tree Inc Board of Directors   REPORTS TO: Board President   PURPOSE: To serve the Board as a voting member, to develop policies, procedures and regulations for the operation of Community Benefit Tree Inc; to monitor finances of the organization, its programs and performance; and secure and ensure equate funds to support the operations.   TERM: Two years   EXPECTED MEETING ATTENDENCE: - Regularly attend meetings as scheduled each month. The third Friday of the month at 11:00a.m.-12:30p.m. - Attend standing committee meetings - Attend Board retreats, in-service workshops and other Board development activities - In order to maintain continuity, the member needs to be present on consistent basis. Therefore, a board member is allowed three absences during the year, if more than three meetings are missed in a 12 month period; the board will address the issue when the need arises.   OBLIGATIONS OF THE BOARD: - Establish policy - Fulfill the Mission of the Organization - Hire/fire/supervise and evaluate the Executive Director - Secure adequate funds to support the operations of our mission - Assist in fundraising activities for the organization - Monitor finances - Maintain, develop and update long-range plans       SPECIFIC DUTIES: - Attend meetings and demonstrate commitment to Board activities - Be well-informed on issues and agenda items - Contribute skills, knowledge and experience when appropriate - Listen respectfully to other points of view - Participate in organizational decision-making - Financially support the organization and fundraising efforts - Assume leadership roles in all Board activities, including fundraising - Represent the organization to the public and to private industry - Educate yourself about the needs of the people served   Board Orientation and Training Required- 7 hrs

The Advisory Council serves as a critical community champion of the Community Benefit Tree. Members of the Advisory Council share their gifts in service to our mission by providing our organization with their professional expertise; their diverse knowledge of constituent perspectives; their connections, resources, colleagues or peers; their philanthropic support or other forms of needed assistance. The Advisory Council has no governing function within the organization.

 

Join an Advisory Team:

Marketing/Fundraising Team-assist with marketing and fundraising. Development/Strategic Planning Team- assist with strategic future planning of the organization. Governance/Internal Operations Team- assist with board governance and internal operations. Hope Team- assist in ways to help the families who are struggling with a medical crisis.

 

Age: 21 and up

CASA of the Fox Cities seeks interested members for its Board of Directors. Although previous Board membership experience is not required, we do prefer someone who has had some volunteer involvement with a nonprofit agency (committee work, for example).

Our current board member needs are for an individual who has previous experience in marketing/public relations/advertising, as well as an individual with a background in fundraising or sales.

We also encourage the involvement of men and all individuals from diverse racial/ethnic backgrounds to assist us.

A passion for CASA's mission of assisting abused/neglected children within local courts is essential.

Board meetings are held at the CASA office from 5 to 7 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of every month, except for November and December, when it it held on the third Tuesday to avoid holidays. Board members are also required to serve on one of several committees, which carry out the work of the agency. Each committee is chaired by a Board member and we are in specific need of someone to chair our Marketing/PR Committee, as well as a chair for our Fundraising Committee. Total average time investment per month would be 5 to 10, depending on time of year/projects.

Board member terms are 3 years, with the opportunity to recommit to a second term upon completion of the first 3-year term.

We are seeking community members to serve in our organization's board of directors, sharing their talents, leadership skills, time and treasure to promote the mental wellness of our communities. We seek individuals with a variety of skills and experiences, and from diverse cultural backgrounds to best represent the population we serve. The board meets monthly for 90 mins, and there are opportunities for committee services . Time commitment in committee service and other projects vary.

All volunteer work currently can be done remotely. If in person meetings are necessary we follow CDC guidelines.

Previous board experience is a plus for candidates to board service; medical background (physicians, physician assistants, nurses, etc); lived experience with mental health conditions is desired.

Girls on the Run is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world where every girl knows and activates her limitless potential and is free to boldly pursue her dreams. We value the dignity and humanity of all people and are dedicated to being an inclusive, diverse, equitable, and accessible organization.

Our organization is currently seeking volunteers to serve on our Board of Directors. Because we serve youth from a wide variety of life experiences and backgrounds, it is important to us that our Board of Directors reflects our whole community, therefore we are seeking representation from all parts of our community.

Interested individuals are not required to have any previous board experience. There are no specific educational or professional requirements to join. However, we currently have a high need for individuals with finance/accounting, fundraising, legal/risk/litigation, marketing, and strategic planning experience.

TERM: Six years

 
EXPECTED MEETING ATTENDENCE:

- Meetings are held on the second Monday of every other month 5:30pm-7:00pm. Virtual attendance is an option.
