Assist staff in taking care of patients and loved ones throughout the duration of their appointments at the Regional Cancer Center.
Some duties include:
- Greet patients and visitors and offer hospitality services including beverages and snacks.
- Provide patient and visitor information and directions.
- Offer patient transports (wheelchair) or escorts to areas throughout the cancer center and at times, Encircle Health.
- Maintain neatness in the waiting area.
- Provide refreshments (lunches), popcorn and goodies (from the Care Cart) to the patients in the infusion room.
- Stock blanket warmers, and distribute warm blankets to patients upon request.
- Refill stock in refreshment areas in the infusion pods.
- Assemble patient education materials.
- Transport lab specimens or other clinical items.
- Support the RCC staff with miscellaneous tasks.
