Support Shawano Middle School Students at JA Finance Park in Appleton on November 13th and/or November 14th. This program teaches essential skills in personal finance that lead to a lifetime of financial peace. We need volunteers to work with a small group of students for the day, leading discussions and sharing your personal experiences. Students receive a life scenario, income, and credit rating with which they apply for loans, create a budget, and then try to live within that budget. Students gain a lot of eye-opening knowledge about how much things cost and how to live within their means.
This is a great opportunity to facilitate hands on learning and ideal for anyone with a passion for financial literacy that enjoys working with students. Training is provided each day prior to student arrival. We need 7 volunteers on Thursday and 11 volunteers on Friday. This is a one- or two-day opportunity.
