We are seeking a friendly and socially engaged volunteer to spend time with seniors, offering companionship through the simple joy of playing cards and other games. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys social interaction, has a good sense of humor, and can connect with the older generation.
Typical Duties
Visit assigned seniors every Wednesday at 2:00pm, for 1–2 hours.
Play cards or other games in a relaxed, friendly manner.
Engage in light conversation, share personal stories, and listen actively.
Encourage seniors to connect with family and friends when appropriate.
Maintain a respectful, positive, and patient attitude at all times.
Follow facility or program guidelines for visitor conduct.
Ideal Qualities
Age 18+ with a reliable way to get to the senior care facility.
Good communication skills and the ability to adapt to different personalities.
Comfort with casual, non-structured social activities.
Willingness to learn new card games.
