Greater Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity is building a list of skilled tradespeople willing to donate emergency repair services to families impacted by the July 27 tornado. This is an ongoing, on-call need, not a scheduled shift, for work outside the scope of our general cleanup crews, such as:

Roof tarping

Electrical repairs

Plumbing

Tree removal near structures

Other licensed/skilled trade work.

How it works:

2. When a family has a need matching your skill, Kayla Karoses, Habitat's Event and Operations Coordinator, will call the family and share your contact information with them.
3. The family will contact you directly to coordinate the work. All services are donated directly to the family, Habitat is simply the connection point and is not involved in scheduling, supervising, or paying for the work performed.

Talent Takeover is Remarkable's yearly talent show fundraiser. Our participants work for months on preparing their acts, which include joke telling, musical numbers, dances, and more. Volunteers assist with event set-up, selling raffles, raffle stations, running silent auction and raffle baskets to their winners, and event clean up. Talent Takeover is a blast to be a part of and helps Remarkable to further its mission to elevate the lives of people with diverse abilities by Caring deeply, Creating opportunities, Connecting communities and Celebrating success.

Do you have one hour per month during the weekdays available? Valley VNA is looking for volunteer drivers who will be scheduled for a meal delivery route within the cities of Neenah and Menasha. Volunteer drivers will pick up meals at around 11:00 am at ThedaCare Regional Medical Center-Neenah and then follow the delivery route provided and drop off a healthy meal for our clients.  Once all meals are delivered, the delivery bag is returned to ThedaCare. Please reach out for available routes that occur on a monthly basis.

St. Vincent de Paul Neenah Menasha is looking for assistance in our shoe department. 

Responsibilities include quality checking the shoes, pricing, and stocking and maintaining the sales floor.

Preferred hours would be in the afternoon. We will provide the training. 

This committee develops and delivers educational programs to build public understanding and appreciation of local history and ensures high-quality tours of the Morgan House.

Tasks:

● Plan and implement educational programs: lectures, workshops, book clubs, community tours, etc.

● Maintain and update the Morgan House tour manual; train and support volunteer docents to lead tours.

● Seek grant funding or other resources to support educational initiatives.

● Partner with other committees (e.g., Collections, Outreach) to integrate history education into WCHS’s efforts.

Education Committee Meeting - First Monday of each Month - 6:30 - 7:30 PM (can be virtual or in person at the Morgan House - 234 Church Street, Oshkosh)

Give tours on the First Friday of each month from 6-8 PM all year long. (at the Morgan House)

Position Summary: 
We are looking for friendly, dependable volunteers to welcome visitors at the shared United Way Fox Cities (UWFC) and Volunteer Fox Cities (VFC) front desk. This role helps visitors feel welcome and supports day-to-day office operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Greet and assist all visitors in a warm and professional manner.

Ask visitors to sign in and out.

Help visitors find meeting rooms and restrooms and offer hospitality.

Direct questions about services or volunteer opportunities to the right staff person or resource. Training will be provided.

The Garden Guardian helps keep our courtyard welcoming and beautiful by tending to weeds and brushing displaced woodchips back into their beds. Through their care, the Garden Guardian enhances the appearance of the courtyard, providing a clean and well-manicured space for all of our participants and staff members to enjoy.

The Garden Guardian can do gardening anytime during business hours (8am to 3:30pm). Gardening could be done weekly or every few weeks, depending on volunteers schedule and the weather and should only take about 2 hours per time.

● Manage accessioning and deaccessioning following the Collection Policy.
● Maintain an accurate inventory of all collection items.
● Oversee preservation: cleaning, repair, climate-appropriate storage.
● Design, develop, and implement exhibits with other committees when

ADVOCAP’s volunteer transportation program provides rides for participants who are referred to us through Winnebago County ADRC and Veteran Services. Drivers provide rides utilizing their personal vehicles and are reimbursed for their mileage.

Those interested in becoming Transportation Volunteers must be age 55 or over, live in Winnebago County, have a valid license, insurance, registration, and a reliable car.  All drivers must pass a background check and receive training on program rules & regulations, and driver etiquette.

Drivers receive requests for rides and choose which rides they will provide. Drivers are reimbursed for mileage monthly.

Hope Clinic has a continuous need for RN volunteers. The ideal candidate will be available a minimum of one day per week (Monday-Thursday) for 4-8 hours per day with options available for volunteering as little as one day per month. 

RN volunteers perform similar duties to RN staff taking into consideration individual comfort levels and experience. Tasks may include rooming patients, assisting with provider assessment, phlebotomy services, basic procedures (e.g. Pap, ear flushing, excisions), filling prescriptions and meeting a variety of patient needs. Nursing staff works closely with ancillary departments to ensure our patients are cared for holistically. This volunteer position requires an active RN license in the state of Wisconsin.

Help students in Outagamie County start the school year prepared and confident. The Back to School Program provides backpacks and essential supplies to children in 4K through 12th grade, ensuring every student has what they need for a successful first day of school.

The Back to School Program has supported local students since 1990 by providing backpacks and school supplies to children in need across Outagamie County. Donations from individuals, businesses, churches, and community groups make it possible to serve hundreds of students each year.

Students in grades 4K through 12th can receive supplies if they live in Outagamie County or are referred by staff. This program helps ensure every child starts the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Getting involved is easy and makes a meaningful impact. Community members can donate new backpacks or school supplies, organize collection drives, or contribute financially to support the program.

Bethany has several church services held throughout the week at the Bethany Chapel. Volunteers are needed to help bring residents to and from church services.

If you're a hairstylist and you'd like to be able to use your cutting and styling hair talents to support in-home hospice patients, we'd love to share more about this opportunity! We have patients who request haircuts; sometimes, the filing and painting of nails; especially when it's difficult for them to leave their home. Your services would be helping to restore dignity and a sense of normalcy during a period of profound transition in their lives.

Our construction volunteers give their time, energy, and heart to help local families build a safe, affordable place to call home—and you can support them in a delicious way! Fox Cities Habitat is seeking generous Meal Donors to provide lunch for our hardworking build‑site crews. As a volunteer driver, you will:

We are looking for more fosters to help our animals that are struggling in the shelter atmosphere. These dogs and cats could be nursing mothers and their kittens, young kittens and puppies that are too little to be adopted, animals in surgical recovery, shy animals needing to build confidence, or long term residents that need some time in a real home.

Program Description:

In order to assist older adults to live in their home safely and healthy for as long as they choose, St. Paul Elder Services offers several services to community members.  ElderMatch is a free, volunteer program to decrease isolation in older adults. Studies show that there is a direct link between isolation and decline in cognitive, emotional, and physical health, particularly among the elderly.   Providing companionship on a regular basis with individuals of common interests is shown to alleviate and prolong any decline in these areas.  St Paul Elder Services and the Outagamie County ADRC are partners in developing and carrying out this program.

1.      Meet with match every week or at minimum twice in one month for at least 1 hour per visit.

2.      Complete required paperwork for each visit and report monthly (report immediately in an emergency)

Program Overview:
The SPOON program helps residents enjoy safe, one-on-one assistance during meals while promoting socialization and companionship. Volunteers are oriented, trained, and supervised to support nursing staff and enhance the mealtime experience for residents, particularly those with advanced dementia or chronic health conditions.

Orientation & Training:

Volunteers are identified by the Director of Volunteer Services.

Orientation and training are provided by the Speech Therapist and Manager of Outreach Services, following established curriculum.

Waupaca Area All-Stars is a recreational program designed for individuals ages 5-18 with physical and/or mental disabilities. We host dozens of events throughout the year, such as art workshops, wheelchair basketball, bowling, pizza night, swimming, and lots more! Volunteers are an integral part of this program from working 1:1 with the youth to helping lead events.

Food Pantry Helper – Do you enjoying talking to people? SVdP Neenah is looking for people that want to interact with the community. We are looking for volunteers who want to help give food to those in need and helping people sign up for our pantry. It would be a 3-4 hour shift on Saturdays. Work directly with Adult Basic Education (ABE) & English Language Learning (ELL) learners!

We are learner-centered and learner-directed. Our learners identify their own goals, choose their path to meeting those goals, and participate fully in planning and assessing their progress. Supporting our tutors is a top priority. There is no prescribed recipe for tutoring with us. That is intentional by design. We offer individualized tutor training, immediate support when requested, and tutor workshops.

We are looking for at least one hour a week of tutoring. Day, time, and location are organized between tutor and learner. Our office, along with our old library location on the third floor, provides multiple tutor rooms and materials to help.

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking volunteers to assist in our Halloween department!

Responsibilities include sorting, quality-checking, and pricing Halloween décor, as well as keeping the seasonal area on the sales floor organized and fully stocked.

Training is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After training, your schedule can be adjusted to fit your availability.

NEW Role with Immediate OPENINGS!  Help patients and visitors find their way around the hospital and clinic. Greet people as they enter through the North Entrance and offer assistance with directions. In this role, you will serve 1 day a week for 2-4 hours.  Some light walking is required.  We are looking for friendly faces to greet our patients, visitors and guest.  Help them get to the right location and feel confident they are in the right place.  Make new friends, become part of our wonderful volunteer community, attend special events and educational classes if you want, and discover a sense of purpose that you have been longing for.  It is fun and easy.  We have immediate openings.  Pick a day M-TH from either 8:30am-10:30am or 10:30am-12:30pm.  All volunteers receive a free beverage for each shift they work, 20% off at our gift gallery year round, and two celebrations for volunteers yearly.  Come and share your gifts and talents with us!

We are looking for assistance in our electrical department, which involves testing and pricing appliances, as well as hardware & pet supplies. The first couple of days of training would be in the morning and then the volunteer would transition to volunteer in the afternoon. Shifts can be up to 2-3 hours, and we are flexible with days.

Walking School Bus assistants and substitute volunteers needed!       

What is a Walking School Bus?

A Walking School Bus (WSB) is a safe, fun, and healthy way for children to walk to school together with the guidance of caring adult volunteers. Students get fresh air and exercise, while families enjoy peace of mind knowing their children are supervised along the way.

How It Works:

A group of children meet at a set location and walk to school together on a planned route.

Adult volunteers (parents, staff, or community members) walk with the group, helping keep everyone safe and together.

The walk usually takes about 20–30 minutes, depending on the route.

The WSB runs rain or shine (except in unsafe weather conditions).

Volunteer Details:

Volunteers can commit to one or more days per week, or serve as a substitute when a leader is unavailable.

No experience is needed—just a willingness to walk and supervise students.

A brief training will be provided.

Time commitment is minimal, but the positive impact is huge!

These mentor roles were created to provide more in-depth education around various skills to promote self-sufficiency. Topics to teach include WIC (Women, Infants, and Children), Digital Literacy, Public Transportation, Home Cleanliness and Safety, Job Readiness, Health Support, and English Tutoring.

The Outagamie County Nutrition Program serves meals to individuals who are 60+ years old. Meals are served in two different settings: congregate and home-delivered. Congregate meals are offered at five different locations: Hortonville, Kaukauna, Oneida Heights (Appleton), Seymour, and the Mary Beth Nienhaus Activity Center (Appleton). Home-delivered meals are offered throughout Outagamie County.

Days vary but hours are typically between 10:00am-12:30pm. 

Valley VNA is seeking a volunteer to assist with painting projects both inside and outside of our facility. This includes painting interior walls as well as outdoor trim and pillars. Your time and effort will help brighten the space for residents and staff alike!

We’re looking for two volunteers to help facilitate our weekly Storytime for Everyone program! Each week, the Neenah Public Library visits Valley VNA with their youth librarian, Storytime kids, their families and our Residents for a fun, interactive hour of reading, playing and connection.

Volunteer responsibilities include:
-- Setting up the room (arranging tables and chairs)
-- Greeting and engaging with participants
-- Running a PowerPoint presentation for the librarian
-- Resetting the room after the event

After Storytime, families enjoy time to play and connect. The total time commitment is two hours, from 9:30–11:30 a.m. on Tuesday mornings (with the main program running 10–11 a.m.).

Do you love sharing music with others?  If you've got a musical talent that you'd like to share with our hospice patients, we'd love to chat!  We've got many opportunities to provide musical enjoyment during visits with patients within ThedaCare's facilities, patient homes, or within many facilities throughout our ThedaCare service area.  

We are seeking a new leader for our Y-Not Chorus Group. The Y-Not Chorus is a group comprised of senior adults all with various singing abilities that want to share their love of music with others. Their main purpose is to bring joy to those is assisted living environments by providing musical performances. The group typically practices on Friday's at Gloria Dei Church in Neenah, with various performances throughout the year, especially during the holidays.

The leader of this group would be in charge of conducting, working with the pianist to choose musical selections, as well as working with the rest of the group to determine schedule and performance dates. Binder of sheet music and lyrics provided. Currently, the group practices and performs mainly in Neenah, with various performances throughout the Fox Valley.

NOAHH is not a traditional volunteer program. Instead, it is a network of community partners who receive occasional requests for donated household items or other basic needs for Outagamie County DHHS clients.

NOAHH is a partnership between community members and the Outagamie County Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS). Most NOAHH partners are churches, businesses, civic groups, and other organizations, but individuals are welcome to participate as well.

Here's how it works: When a county worker identifies a need, the Volunteer Coordinator emails NOAHH partners with a request. Partners decide whether they can help by donating or locating items such as furniture, kitchen supplies, bedding, clothing, or other household essentials. There is no obligation to respond to every request and no volunteer time commitment.

This is a special announcement for all men aged 15 years to !

Our annual concert season typically takes place in April and May. We will still perform at events during the summer: Memorial Day ceremony at the end of the Appleton Parade; Symphony Under the Stars at the ballpark; Bike to the Beat in Kimberly; and more. All male singers are welcome to visit with us at any of these events to discuss membership. Otherwise, our annual Season Opener / New Member recruitment picnic is August 31st, 2026, to begin the 2026-7 season.

For MacDowell new members, our Director holds Voice Placement sessions from 6:45 to 7:00 pm before the regular Monday rehearsals. Tryouts are no-stress; you don’t need to prepare beforehand. This meeting allows the conductor to determine your vocal range. The two of you will decide your voice: 1st tenor, 2nd tenor, baritone, or bass. The only skill requirement is the ability to carry a tune. You are welcome to learn music by ear or by reading music. Sheet music is provided to all members, and recordings are made available for home practicing.

We rehearse every Monday evening after Labor Day, starting at 7:00 P.M. in the Appleton St. Francis Xavier High School chorus room. The year concludes with the annual business meeting in mid-May, and we enjoy a short summer break.

MacDowell’s diverse membership spans a variety of musical experiences, with most members residing in the Fox Cities of Wisconsin, from Green Bay to Waupaca to Oshkosh to Whitelaw, and all communities in between. Although we hail from all walks of life, our common interests of camaraderie, community, and love of singing have made us a unified group for 93 years.

Ideally, new members join in the fall to prepare for the Spring Concert Season. However, we encourage interested candidates to attend any rehearsal to learn the details of the chorus. If joining later in the year, they may be non-performing members to become full-performing members the following season.

We are looking for Veterans who interested in providing companionship to our Veteran hospice patients. For many Veterans, the opportunity to share their stories can be fulfilling and often contributes a sense of fellowship, life closure and peace. If the volunteer is a Veteran, the sharing can be all that more powerful. Veterans may want to share their stories with someone who understands what they went through. We are looking for compassionate, kind, and caring individuals who would like to visit our patients and provide companionship. As a hospice volunteer you could: Read a book to them, watch movies, and socialize as if they were a long-time friend.

Volunteer visits typically are done once or twice per week for 1-2 hours at a time.

Visits are completed where the patient lives. This includes private homes, nursing homes, and assisted living facilities.

We are looking for a sweet therapy dog who you think would do well with visiting with our hospice patients. Under our pet therapy program, your specially trained dog would be able to provide companionship to our patients. Pet companionship can bring our patients a sense of peace, comfort and trust.

Dog temperament requirements:

Pet therapy volunteer program requirements: Owner must complete patient volunteer orientation.

Pet and owner must be registered with a nationally recognized animal organization (see below). Acceptable Therapy Dog Registration Organizations: Alliance of Therapy Dogs, Inc, Pet Partners, and Therapy Dogs International.

Reach Counseling is invited to provide outreach at many community, school, and informational events throughout the Fox Valley to engage with community members about our services. Outreach volunteers help us to reach more community members by expanding our capacity to attend more events!

Volunteers will receive training to ensure they can speak about the services Reach provides to community members who visit our booth. These community events typically occur on week nights and weekends.

We have a capital campaign coming up and are in need of some professional guidance to help us along the way. 

What's needed: graphic design, social media postings, content, website updates, ongoing project with a few hours per week remote or onsite.

Description: Care Package Helper

Every month we make care packages for our B.A.B.E.S families. We are looking for committed monthly volunteers who would be interested in making care packages. These packages include essential items such as hygiene products, diapers and other necessities.

The Appleton YMCA-Service Club meets twice per month (September through April) at the Appleton YMCA. Members develop a program schedule, which includes community speakers, Y staff presentations orienting members to Y programs, social events and planning fundraising events to help the YMCA support innovative, impactful programming for youth, adults and families. Projects include: Childcare Playground projects (May/June), Camp Clean-ups (May/August), Christmas Tree Sale (November/December), and Pancake Breakfast (February). 

Appleton, Fox West, Heart of the Valley and Neenah-Menasha YMCA locations are looking for your help! Youth Sports Coaches provide skill development in a variety of sport leagues. Work with our youth to instill our character values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility. Provide these young athletes with a good role model for sportsmanship and teamwork. Sports include: Baseball, basketball, flag football, soccer, t-ball, track and field and volleyball.

League days include Saturdays and/or weeknights, 2-6 hours per week for 6-8 week sessions. Background check is required. 

Appleton YMCA Early Learning Center would welcome volunteers to read to the children or lead an art project. Times available on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 9-11 AM. Fox West YMCA Kids Corner is also looking for volunteers Monday-Friday mornings. Staff will provide reading and art materials, we just need your energy and smiles!

Come join us as we care for and maintain the Purdy preserve! Work may include trail and
infrastructure maintenance as well as invasive species control. This work varies by season, so
please come equipped for the weather, and with a good pair of boots and work gloves.

Preserve workdays will be held on the following dates, from 9:00-11:00 AM. Volunteers should
meet at the garage in the parking lot of the Apple Creek YMCA.

SOAR Fox Cities hosts dances once a month. Volunteers are needed to socialize with and help serve our participants.
