Full Week Volunteer Camp Counselor
This full week options, a Friday to a Friday commitment where you are “on” for the whole week with daily breaks and 24/7 support. These positions are never alone. It is the 3rd week of August each summer and takes place in Plymouth WI. This is one of our biggest asks but also the most rewarding.
Background checks are mandatory and provided by BeWi. Mandatory in person and virtual training happen prior to camp.

Day Volunteer
These are generally a couple of hours to a full day. They may include set up and tear down or just have you arriving for the fun. These events always include working with youth and families.

Volunteer to assist with activities and fun at Camp Hope and Camp Inspiration. They are 4-week long day camp for children ages 6-18 with physical and cognitive disabilities. This camp gives children the opportunity to experience outdoor activities in a safe setting built around special themes each day. YMCA needs patient volunteers who are willing to work with different abilities of children and who are ready to make a difference in the participants' lives. Time blocks are available during the day.

The Fox Cities Habitat Women Build is where awesome people join forces; not just to construct homes, but to forge stronger, safer communities and support for affordable housing right here in the Fox Valley. Let's build something great together!

The Waupaca Area Triathlon is successful because of the support of over 100 volunteers annually.  We have a variety of opportunity to get involved based on your area of interest and time.

We warmly invite you to donate gently used hats, gloves, scarves, and coats, especially during this time of year. Additionally, any non-perishable food items, hygiene products, cleaning supplies, and paper products would greatly assist those in need in the Neenah/Menasha community, especially with the food pantry located next door.

As the holiday season approaches, donations of turkey and ham are greatly appreciated so that families in need can celebrate this festive time.

With almost 20 boys waiting to be matched with adult mentors, we have an immediate need for male volunteers willing to be positive role models for kids! At the Outagamie County Mentoring Program, we work with the youth in the community who need us the most. We match kids with adults who help them out just by being a friend and spending a few hours a month together. A successful match is life changing for both the mentor and mentee! All of the youth in our program are between 6-17 years old and have been referred by a social worker from Outagamie County Health and Human Services.

Mentor matches spend about 4-8 hours a month together to develop a positive and trusting relationship the youth can rely on. Mentors expose youth to new and positive experiences that enhance self esteem and improve social skills. We find that many mentors enjoy getting to be a kid again with their mentee!

If you mentor with Outagamie County, you will receive all the training and support you need to make your match successful. We sponsor several events each year for our matches and also reimburse for mileage.

ADVOCAP’s volunteer transportation program provides rides for participants who are referred to us through Winnebago County ADRC and Veteran Services. Drivers provide rides utilizing their personal vehicles and are reimbursed for their mileage.

Those interested in becoming Transportation Volunteers must be age 55 or over, live in Winnebago County, have a valid license, insurance, registration, and a reliable car.  All drivers must pass a background check and receive training on program rules & regulations, and driver etiquette.

Drivers receive requests for rides and choose which rides they will provide. Drivers are reimbursed for mileage monthly.

Nature of Work: Assist with the Little Free Pantry, Summer Feeding Program, Food Pick-Up, and other pantry help as needed.

Children's Wisconsin is currently looking for certified therapy dog teams to visit with patients and staff at our Fox Valley locations. St. Vincent de Paul Neenah/Menasha is seeking volunteers to assist in our linens department. Responsibilities include sorting and pricing donated items such as sheets, rugs, and tablecloths, as well as stocking and maintaining the sales floor. Training will be provided. Flexible scheduling is available. Hours are flexible.

Reach Counseling is invited to provide outreach at many community, school, and informational events throughout the Fox Valley to engage with community members about our services. Outreach volunteers help us to reach more community members by expanding our capacity to attend more events!

Volunteers will receive training to ensure they can speak about the services Reach provides to community members who visit our booth. These community events typically occur on week nights and weekends.

Reach Counseling's Prevention Education program is active in more than 70 schools in Winnebago and Outagamie Counties. We have a K-12 curriculum for sexual violence to educate about and prevent child sexual abuse in our community. Volunteer Educators will be trained and will present within the schools.

Additional training will be provided to answer questions from the students and respond if they disclose sexual abuse.

Volunteer Educators must be available between the hours of 8am-3:30pm Monday - Friday to present in schools. Some travel within the Fox Cities required.

Reach Counseling provides crisis intervention and emotional support 24/7 to survivors of sexual assault and their friends/family with the help of On-Call Advocates. On-Call Advocates are on call nights, weekends, and holidays between the hours of 5pm and 7am, or 7am until 5pm.

On-Call Advocates receive training to provide emotional support, crisis intervention, information and resources to survivors of sexual abuse and assault in Winnebago, Outagamie, and Calumet Counties. On-Call Advocates provide these services in person at a local hospital. Advocates work alongside medical and legal professionals to ensure survivors are supported while navigating these processes, reducing further trauma and re-victimization while tending to a survivor’s emotional needs. 

On-Call Advocates will work with nurses and law enforcement to provide wrap-around, compassionate care while a survivor receives a forensic exam and/or gives a statement to the police. On-Call Advocates may respond to Aurora & Mercy in Oshkosh, ThedaCare in Neenah, St. Elizabeth and ThedaCare in Appleton, and Calumet County Hospital in Chilton. To ensure a flexible schedule, on-Call Advocates are in control of which hospitals they sign up to respond to, as well as which and how many shifts they choose.

On-Call Advocates must have a driver's license, car insurance and vehicle while on call. On-Call Advocates take calls through their own phones, from their homes. On-Call Advocates must be aware they will hear details of sexual abuse and assault and should know how hearing these stories will impact them.

Fox Valley Literacy has a need for childcare, transportation and test administrator volunteers in Outagamie, northern Calumet, Waupaca, and northern Winnebago counties. Hope Clinic has a continuous need for RN volunteers. The ideal candidate would be available a minimum of one day per week (Monday-Thursday) with additional options available for volunteering as little as one day per month. 

RN volunteers perform similar duties to RN staff taking into consideration individual comfort levels and experience. Tasks may include assisting providers in assessing patients, phlebotomy services, basic procedures (e.g. Pap, ear flushing, excisions), filling prescriptions and meeting a variety of patient needs. Nursing staff works closely with ancillary departments to ensure our patients are cared for holistically. This volunteer position requires an active RN license in the state of Wisconsin. 

Training with the Clinic Manger and other RN staff is provided. 

St. Vincent de Paul is seeking volunteers to assist in our Halloween department!

Responsibilities include sorting, quality-checking, and pricing Halloween décor, as well as keeping the seasonal area on the sales floor organized and fully stocked.

Training is offered on Tuesdays and Thursdays. After training, your schedule can be adjusted to fit your availability.

Volunteer at JA BizTown to inspire students as they learn skills related to financial literacy, community, work readiness, and entrepreneurship.

Located on the FVTC campus in Appleton, JA BizTown is an onsite learning experience for 4th-6th graders that gives students a place to put their classroom learning to the test. Students step off the bus and into the role of an adult for the day as they run our simulated town. They operate a credit union, restaurant, city hall, media center, manufacturer, logistical center, and other businesses with the goal of managing their personal finances, learning job skills, and helping their business be successful. They work hard as a producer in the JA BizTown economy during the morning and will switch into the role of a consumer in the afternoon as they spend their hard-earned money on goods and services around the town. This is an invaluable "real-world" experience for students from all over NE Wisconsin. 

As a JA BizTown volunteer you will be assigned to a business where you will support a small group of students/employees through their day at JA BizTown. Your role is to step back and empower them to shine in their jobs for the day. You will help kids stay on task while they do all the necessary work to make their business run smoothly. Training to support you in your volunteer role is provided the morning of the simulation as well as online prior to your arrival.

Can you help with our seasonal lawn mowing? Help as much or as little to fit your schedule.

Ways to contribute include seasonal projects such as spring and fall cleanup, general grounds/building management (mowing weeding, raking, painting, window washing, just to name a few). Or help prepare garden spaces for tenants to grow vegetables and flowers in the spring. Some of our jobs or projects are available on a continuing basis and some are indoors, while others are outdoors. Help as much or as little as your schedule allows. 

Are you a parent who feels called to mentor new parents?  If so, consider volunteering as a Parent Mentor. Here at Vida, mentors help parents learn about child development and discipline. They also provide positive encouragement to moms and dads, something we all need as parents! For more information, contact Tracey Miles at tmiles@vidacares.org!

We are currently looking for volunteer for our frames and pictures department. Responsibilities would include sorting and pricing frames, taking merchandise out to the sales floor, and maintaining the sales floor. We will provide training. Hours are flexible. 

The JA Finance Park program teaches financial literacy to students in grades 7th-12th. They complete 12 lessons in the classroom with their teacher at school prior to their visit with us where they will put their learning to the test in our budgeting simulation. This program teaches essential skills in personal finance that lead to a lifetime of financial peace. 

Volunteers to work with a small group of students for the day, leading discussions and sharing your personal experiences. Students receive a life scenario, income, and credit rating with which they apply for loans, create a budget, and then try to live within that budget. Students gain a lot of eye-opening knowledge about how much things cost and how to live within their means. This is a great opportunity to facilitate hands on learning and ideal for anyone with a passion for financial literacy that enjoys working with students. Training is provided each day prior to student arrival.

We need up to 12 volunteers each day that students are on site. This is a one-day opportunity with many dates in the 25-26 school year to choose from.

St. Vincent de Paul is looking for assistance in the books department.

Responsibilities include sorting, quality checking, putting books out, and maintaining the sales floor. 

Preferred hours would be in the morning, but can be adjusted to fit availability. We will provide training. 

Veteran Hospice volunteers are needed to support Veteran patients and their families. These volunteers provide socialization and companionship which includes listening or simply being a loving presence. This unique need specifically supports our We Honor Veterans Vet-to-Vet program.  Specific locations are based on your preferences, throughout our Northeast Wisconsin service area, or the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King, WI.  Reach out if you'd like to learn more!

Help students in Outagamie County start the school year prepared and confident. The Back to School Program provides backpacks and essential supplies to children in 4K through 12th grade, ensuring every student has what they need for a successful first day of school.

The Back to School Program has supported local students since 1990 by providing backpacks and school supplies to children in need across Outagamie County. Donations from individuals, businesses, churches, and community groups make it possible to serve hundreds of students each year.

Students in grades 4K through 12th can receive supplies if they live in Outagamie County or are referred by staff. This program helps ensure every child starts the school year prepared, confident, and ready to learn.

Getting involved is easy and makes a meaningful impact. Community members can donate new backpacks or school supplies, organize collection drives, or contribute financially to support the program.

Blood Drive Registration is one way that you can help at the Community Blood Center. The only real “job requirement” is a personal desire to help others. Platelet donation offers an extra-special gift at a time when a patient needs it most.

Platelets are the component of blood that controls our bleeding, which means that when stopping the loss of blood is critical – in transplant recipients, in cancer patients, during traumatic injuries – platelets answer the call. They collect at the site of an injury to help in the formation of clots, which then allows the wound to heal.

Adding to their importance is the fact that they have a short shelf life, which means that they must be replenished continually. Thankfully, since our own body restores this blood component so rapidly, platelet donors can make a donation every seven days.

How long does it take to donate platelets?

A platelet donation, from registration to cookies, takes about 2 hours.

How often can I donate platelets?

Donors are eligible to donate platelets every 7 days. The average platelet donor donates 5x per year.

How does this donation differ from a blood donation?

The specific machine used for this type of donation collects platelets, a component of blood. Red blood cells and plasma, in addition to saline fluid, are returned to the donor during this process.

Who receives platelets?

Hematology, oncology, cardiac surgeries, and trauma victims are some of the patients who may receive platelets.

Is donating platelets safe?

Yes. All materials are sterile and used only once. CBC follows FDA standards and protocols. Safety is a top priority in all we do.

We’re preparing to offer rides for adults age 60+ on scenic trails, to appointments, and to community events using a motorized trishaw. This isn’t about intense exercise—it’s about connection, fresh air, and creating joyful experiences.

We’re currently looking for “pilots” to operate the trishaw. Whether you’re a cycling enthusiast or simply someone who enjoys spending time outdoors with older adults, this is a meaningful and rewarding opportunity.

Program Overview:
The SPOON program helps residents enjoy safe, one-on-one assistance during meals while promoting socialization and companionship. Volunteers are oriented, trained, and supervised to support nursing staff and enhance the mealtime experience for residents, particularly those with advanced dementia or chronic health conditions.

Orientation and training are provided by the Speech Therapist and Manager of Outreach Services, following established curriculum.

In order to assist older adults to live in their home safely and healthy for as long as they choose, St. Paul Elder Services offers several services to community members.  ElderMatch is a free, volunteer program to decrease isolation in older adults. Studies show that there is a direct link between isolation and decline in cognitive, emotional, and physical health, particularly among the elderly.   Providing companionship on a regular basis with individuals of common interests is shown to alleviate and prolong any decline in these areas.  St Paul Elder Services and the Outagamie County ADRC are partners in developing and carrying out this program.

We are learner-centered and learner-directed. Our learners identify their own goals, choose their path to meeting those goals, and participate fully in planning and assessing their progress. Supporting our tutors is a top priority. There is no prescribed recipe for tutoring with us. That is intentional by design. We offer individualized tutor training, immediate support when requested, and tutor workshops.

Food Pantry Helper – Do you enjoying talking to people? SVdP Neenah is looking for people that want to interact with the community. We are looking for volunteers who want to help give food to those in need and helping people sign up for our pantry. It would be a 3-4 hour shift on Saturdays. Training will be given as it does involve a computer system.  

Saint Vincent de Paul in Neenah is in need of cashier volunteers on Saturdays. Shifts are available in 4-hour slots with staff available at all times for backup. 
We are looking for friendly faces and volunteers 16 and over with some experience preferred. We are willing to train and volunteers receive a 50% off discount off everything in the store $20.00 and under. 

All our Support Services clients receiving parenting education can request childcare for their appointment. Our childcare volunteers interact, supervise, and play with children in our on-site childcare room. This role is extremely crucial to our programming so that we can better serve our clients by providing them with the opportunity to get a break and have privacy for their appointments.

We are seeking community members to serve in our organization's board of directors, sharing their talents, leadership skills, time and treasure to promote the mental wellness of our communities. We seek individuals with a variety of skills and experiences, and from diverse cultural backgrounds to best represent the population we serve. The board meets monthly for 90 mins, and there are opportunities for committee services . Time commitment in committee service and other projects vary.

All volunteer work currently can be done remotely. If in person meetings are necessary we follow CDC guidelines.

Previous board experience is a plus for candidates to board service; medical background (physicians, physician assistants, nurses, etc); lived experience with mental health conditions is desired.

Come join us as we care for and maintain the Purdy preserve! Work may include trail and
infrastructure maintenance as well as invasive species control. This work varies by season, so
please come equipped for the weather, and with a good pair of boots and work gloves.

Preserve workdays will be held on the following dates, from 9:00-11:00 AM. Volunteers should
meet at the garage in the parking lot of the Apple Creek YMCA.

Appleton YMCA Early Learning Center would welcome volunteers to read to the children or lead an art project. Times available on any Monday, Wednesday, or Friday between 9-11 AM. Fox West YMCA Kids Corner is also looking for volunteers Monday-Friday mornings. Staff will provide reading and art materials, we just need your energy and smiles!

Make a difference in just one afternoon a week! Help create a welcoming and fun environment for people living with dementia during our Mindworks classes. You’ll assist with activities, offer a friendly smile, and enjoy lunch with participants. No experience? No problem! We provide training before you start.

The Outagamie County Mentoring Program works with the youth in the community who need us the most. We match kids with adults who help them out just by being a friend and spending a few hours a month together. A successful match is life changing for both the mentor and mentee! The youth in our program are between 6-17 years old and have been referred by a social worker from Outagamie County Health and Human Services.

With 30 kids currently on waiting list,  we have a great need for more volunteer mentors.  Mentor matches spend a minimum of 4 hours a month together developing a positive and trusting relationship the youth can rely on. Mentors expose youth to new and positive experiences that enhance self esteem and improve social skills. We find that many mentors enjoy getting to be a kid again with their mentee!

If you mentor with Outagamie County, you will receive all the training and support you need to make your match successful. We sponsor several events each year for our matches and also reimburse for mileage.

We are seeking technical support ASAP for:

Assisting with the Hybrid/Zoom system during our monthly meetings at the DJ Bordini Center in Appleton. We need Tech support on the 2nd Monday of most months from 5:15-4:45pm for 8 months out of the year. 2026 meeting dates can be found on the poster listing on our website at:

We need someone to start up the hybrid system before each meeting and remain at the computer during the meeting to ensure the tech is working properly, load files from flash drives, monitor those on Zoom, and troubleshoot if there are any issues. Must be comfortable with a computer and hybrid meeting environment. Familiarity with hosting Zoom meetings and hybrid conference systems beneficial but not required; we can train you. We are in need of light grounds maintenance, primarily pulling weeds during the summer months, helping water plants in the summer and keeping shrubs and trees trimmed.  Also sidewalk sweeping, and window washing once in awhile.
