Volunteer: Early Education (Ages Infant - 4) Classroom Grandparents

Do you (or someone you know) have a heart for children?

Would you like to make a difference in a child’s life and give back to your community while also earning some extra income?

The Encompass Foster Grandparent Program may be the right fit for you!

Volunteering takes place in an assigned classroom at one of seven 5-star rated Encompass Early Education Child Care Centers in Brown County (including one in West De Pere). 

A typical day may included rocking and feeding infants, reading to toddlers, support children who need extra attention by playing games or doing puzzles.  

Benefits of being a volunteer in Encompass's Foster Grandparent Program:

* Receive an hourly tax-free stipend (which does not affect other benefits)

* Receive annual paid time off 

* Receive mileage/travel allowance

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, receive lots of love from children daily.

To volunteer in Encompass's Foster Grandparent Program, you need to be:

* 55 years of age or better

* Meet limited income guidelines as required by AmeriCorps Seniors (the funding source for the Encompass Foster Grandparent Program)

One Family Unit Yearly Income: $29,160 Two Family Unit Yearly Income: $39,440

* Pass state and federal background checks
