Volunteer: Volunteer CDL Driver - Mobile Clinic (Dental Bus)Position Summary Tri-County Dental (TCD) is seeking a responsible and safety-focused Volunteer Driver to operate our Mobile Clinic (Dental Bus). Volunteer Drivers play a critical role in expanding access to dental care by safely transporting the dental bus to schools and community sites throughout Calumet, Outagamie, and Winnebago Counties. Our Impact At Tri-County Dental, we believe everyone deserves access to quality dental care, regardless of their household income or dental insurance status. Many of the children and families we serve would otherwise go without care. Our Mobile Clinic brings dental services directly to schools and community locations, removing barriers like transportation, cost, and time away from school or work. As a Volunteer Driver, you are not just driving a vehicle, you are: Helping a child receive care they may never otherwise have hadEasing a parent’s worryBe part of a team that is improving health, confidence, and quality of life for children and families in our community Key Responsibilities Safely operate the Mobile Clinic to and from scheduled locations Conduct and document pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections Ensure the vehicle is parked, leveled, and secured at each site Follow all traffic laws, DOT requirements, and clinic safety policies Maintain a clean and organized vehicle environment Communicate with clinic staff regarding arrival times, delays, or issues Assist with basic setup needs as requested (non-clinical) Secure the vehicle at the end of each shift (lock doors, power down as needed) Driver Requirements Hold a valid Wisconsin Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Have a minimum of three (3) years of CDL driving experience Maintain a clean driving record, with no at-fault accidents within the past five (5) years Provide written consent for initial and ongoing MVR reviews Successfully pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check in accordance with TCD’s policy Meet all requirements outlined in the Driver Safety and Vehicle Use Policy Complete required driver orientation and training Demonstrate the ability to safely operate a large vehicle Be comfortable driving in a variety of weather and road conditions Safety Expectations Prioritize the safety of patients, staff, volunteers, and the community at all times Avoid distractions while driving, including texting, eating, or drinking Never operate the vehicle under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or impairing medications Immediately report any accidents, incidents, or vehicle concerns Follow all Driver Safety and Vehicle Use Policy requirements Compliance & Accountability Adhere to all applicable DOT and insurance requirements Participate in periodic driving record reviews as required Maintain eligibility to operate clinic vehicles under insurance guidelines Time Commitment Weekday availability (Monday through Friday) is preferred, based on the Mobile Clinic scheduleDriving shifts typically occur in the morning and afternoonAdditional availability is helpful during the school year, when the Mobile Clinic operates most frequently Training & Support Initial hands-on vehicle training provided Ongoing support from clinic staff Standardized checklists and procedures available in the vehicle Physical & Other Considerations Ability to enter/exit the vehicle safely Ability to sit for extended periods while driving Occasional light lifting (supplies, if needed)Agency: Tri-County Dental Position Summary Tri-County Dental (TCD) is seeking a responsible and safety-focused Volunteer Driver to operate our Mobile Clinic (Dental Bus).
