Volunteer: Planting PartnersWork with our Urban Farm team to produce a bountiful harvest in 2024! Our Planting Partners support our work by planting, harvesting, weeding and watering our vegetables and flowers. We also partner with Feeding America to provide 30,000 pounds of fresh organic produce to families in need within our community. Schedule is flexible during business hours - Mondays-Fridays 8:30am to 3:30pm. Perfect opportunity for someone looking for an ongoing project, and someone looking to keep a regular volunteer schedule. Planting Partners must be able to keep clear records, comply with organic agricultural practices, and work cooperatively with others from diverse backgrounds. Physical tasks include things such as bending, kneeling, lifting (generally 35 lbs. or less independently), standing, and using hand tools for gardening. Please reach out with any concerns, as we are able to make accommodations and have tools such as kneeling pads, etc. A brief 15 minute volunteer orientation is required for all new volunteers.
