Due to limited parking at the meeting point (Shadows building), carpooling is encouraged. Messiah Lutheran Church at W7574 Hwy 54 Shiocton has offered to be a restroom facility as well as a ‘park & ride’ for volunteer groups heading to the Shadows on the Wolf building to receive volunteer assignments throughout the day on Saturday.

All volunteers who want to help with physical labor clean-up report between 8am–6pm. Volunteers will be cleaning out basements and garages that flooded, so you will be lifting, bending and getting dirty.

VOLUNTEERS PLEASE WEAR BOOTS & BRING GLOVES. Masks will be provided.

When you arrive you will be required to register inside the building where you will receive your assignment. Samaritan's Purse will help coordinate ground volunteers.  You may need to recieve training on site. 

Trucks & trailers to haul things to the dumpsters that will be stationed in the Village are also needed. If you can bring these email the Clerk’s Office lsweeney@shiocton.us in advance.

Lunch for volunteers and residents will be available at the River Rail parking lot on Hwy 76 from 11-2 on Saturday. Thank you Wolf River Community Bank and Hortonville Lions Club.

Leaders in Fremont are collecting essential supplies to help residents clean safely, protect their health, and begin rebuilding our community. Every item on this list will go directly to families here in Fremont.

From the organizers: "We are actively monitoring donations and the evolving needs of our community as recovery efforts continue. This list will be updated frequently to reflect the most urgent priorities, so every contribution truly helps where it’s needed most. Right now, fans and dehumidifiers are critical. Many homes are facing ongoing water damage, and without proper drying, the risk of mold and further loss increases every day. We recognize these items come at a higher cost, and we don’t take that lightly, every single contribution, whether it’s purchasing an item or helping share this list, means more than we can put into words. We are so grateful for the support, strength, and compassion being shown. Together, we will get through this and rebuild, safely, carefully, and as a community."

Our local libraries are coming together for a regional Flood Relief Drive.

Supplies can be dropped off during regular library hours and will be delivered to affected communities for as long as needs exist. Thank you for your generosity and compassion.

OWLS Local Libraries – Better Together

Volunteers will be organized into teams and assigned to help residents throughout the area.

What you’ll be doing:

What to bring: If you’re able, please bring: Trucks, trailers, gloves, boots, rakes, brooms, cleaning supplies, carpet cutters/box cutters, tools, crow bar, and any other useful equipment. Rubber gloves and masks will be available for volunteers.

Important: Flood-affected areas may contain contaminated water, debris, sharp objects, and unstable surfaces. Please come prepared and use caution.

Rally at The American Legion and American Legion Auxiliary - Post/Unit 391 in Fremont on Friday 4/24 from 3 pm - 6 pm to help clean-up and dispose of sand bags.

Please wear closed toed shoes & bring gloves.
