Needs From: Get Connected - Volunteer Fox Cities

On Monday August. 17, 10 strong/able-bodied volunteers are needed to help move tables and chairs at the the Winnebago County Multi-Agency Resource Center (MARC).

The MARC provides a central location where people impacted by the recent tornado can get help with housing, finances, mental health, food, and essential needs. 

Volunteers will meet at 1655 University Ave. Menasha at 8:30 AM for a short, but fulfilling volunteer opportunity. 

During the July 27 tornado, Menasha's beloved Smith Park was badly damaged. As work continues to clean trees and debris, the Smith Park Gardens are ready for some revitalization by experienced gardeners. 

We are looking for 5 experienced volunteer gardeners to work alongside former Mayor Don Merkes.

Volunteers should bring their favorite gardening tools, a water bottle, and dress for outdoor weather. 

Volunteers should park on Cleveland Street and meet at the gazebo in the flower gardens.
The Smith Park Formal Gardens are located across the street from the Memorial Building at 640 Keyes Street

Greater Fox Cities Habitat for Humanity is building a list of skilled tradespeople willing to donate emergency repair services to families impacted by the July 27 tornado. This is an ongoing, on-call need, not a scheduled shift, for work outside the scope of our general cleanup crews, such as:

Roof tarping

Electrical repairs

Plumbing

Tree removal near structures

Other licensed/skilled trade work.

How it works:

1. Sign up by clicking "RESPOND" and then add your trade/skill in the "Additional Volunteer Information/Response Notes section"
2. When a family has a need matching your skill, Kayla Karoses, Habitat's Event and Operations Coordinator, will call the family and share your contact information with them.
3. The family will contact you directly to coordinate the work. All services are donated directly to the family, Habitat is simply the connection point and is not involved in scheduling, supervising, or paying for the work performed.

Because this is emergent, response times will vary based on need in the area.

Nonprofit MultiCultural Coalition Inc. (MCI) has been playing an integral role in the Tornado relief efforts and victim support, including creating resource guides in multiple languages, coordinatung interpreters, and deliverity diaper and hygiene prodcuts to assist victims of the Tornado.

MCI is seeking 5 volunteers to have on call for delivery of diaper and hygiene supplies to families in need without transportation. 

On-Call volunteers must have the ability to drive and possess a valid driver's license. 

We are collecting items via Amazon wish list for tornado relief. These donations are going to St. Joe's food pantry.
