Mission: To provide opportunities for children with disabilities to play baseball regardless of their abilities and to learn valuable skills in teamwork, communication, relationship-building and social engagement.
The Miracle League of the Fox Valley allows every child the chance to play baseball. Our league consists of players 4-19 years old with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Every player is matched with a community volunteer buddy. The buddy helps keep the player safe during the game and support the athlete’s success throughout the season. This also give families the opportunity to enjoy the game from the stands.
Teams play one game a week on the same night each week. Games are 1 hour long and played at 5:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. each night. The season is played June through July with no games the week of July 4. There are no team practices. We have many volunteer opportunities including buddies, team helpers, coaches, umpires, pitchers, announcers and field assistants.
