Join us as we continue our clean up of Smith Park. We are clearing and cleaning up the home debris so it doesn't end up in the water, picking up branches and sticks, and raking in the areas that our machines can't manuever.
This project requires the ability to stand and walk on uneven ground. If unable to move branches or rake, then volunteers need to be able to squeeze the handle of a trash picker tool.
Volunteers should dress for the day's weather and for being outside. For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are recommended because of glass and other debris in the area. Volunteers should bring a water bottle, rakes, flat shovels and gloves if able.
Two shifts are available: 8am to Noon and 1pm to 4pm
Volunteers should meet at the Smith Park parking lot by the pavilion (338 Cleveland St) at the start of their shift (either 8:00am or 1:00pm).
Minors over 8 years old may participate if accompanied by parent/guardian.
