Provide patients with socialization and comfort items to make their stay more enjoyable. Volunteers will take a cart to the patient room, visit with patients and offer them an item from the cart. It will be
stocked with personal care items, puzzle books and things to help them pass the
time.
Some duties include:
- Greet patients and visitors
- Provide a comfortable, compassionate atmosphere
- Provide excellent customer service and assist patients with selection of items
- Listen and respond appropriately to patients
- Alert staff to any concerns or needs of the patient
- Assist staff with additional miscellaneous tasks
