Do you like algebra and geometry? Do you use them at work, or are you currently a college or high school student studying advanced math courses? We'd love to talk with you about an opportunity to be part of a team of volunteers providing math homework help at drop-in in library sessions on Wednesdays from 4:00-6:00 pm.
Qualified candidates:
- Have a current working knowledge of arithmetic, algebra and geometry
- Are able to provide patient, friendly and non-judgmental instruction
- Are passionate about helping students in our community
- Are respectful and non-judgmental for individuals from diverse backgrounds, cultures and abilities
- Are proficient navigating websites and search engines (for tutoring resources to refer to students)
- Are able to volunteer at least four, two-hour Wednesday shifts at the library between mid-September and mid-December
