TRAINING IS SCHEDULED!
Starting in the Netherlands, transporting people by trishaws has become a popular movement in the US. Make the Ride Happen is gearing up to transport those 60 years old and over on trails for fun, on the road to get to appointments and to participate in community events.
There is a need for "pilots" to cycle on the motorized trishaw. Training on Rules of the Road and practice piloting the the trishaw are all provided by the Federated Bike Association free of charge to the volunteer pilots.
This movement is about socialization more than getting a great workout. If you are a cycling enthusiast or someone who loves older adults and the outdoors, this is a perfect opportunity for you.
