Description

Staff at the Boys & Girls Clubs of the Fox Valley are participating in staff development training. As a part of this training, they will be attending a Poverty Simulation Event hosted by CAP Services.

This simulation is an opportunity for participants to learn first-hand of the many situations and hard decisions experienced by low-income households. Participants will assume the role of a family member, be provided a background regarding income, and asked to achieve specific goals over a 4-week experience (including paying bills, feeding children, going to work, accessing community resources, etc.)

Volunteers are wanted to host each station of the simulation that participants will visit during the experience.
