Nature of Work: Assist with the Little Free Pantry, Summer Feeding Program, Hydrogarden, and Garden Planters as needed.
Volunteers will work with Library staff as needed to vet donations and stock the Little Free Pantry as well as help with other food services like Summer Feeding Program (when applicable) and our additional methods of collection for fresh produce on site.
Ages: 18 or older

Shifts: Flexible; weekly when possible
Essential Job Functions:
- Go through Little Free Pantry donations to check for expired food and remove donations not applicable to the pantry.
- Stock the pantry as needed.
- Purchase food with gift cards as needed.
- Alert library staff when stock is getting low.
- Assist with special food projects like pop-up pantries, partner events, or bulk donations.
- Prepare brown bag lunches as applicable to the Summer Feeding Program.
- Assist with the running of the hydrogarden as needed.
- Help maintain outdoor learning garden planters by planting, monitoring, and harvesting food for the Little Free Pantry.
Requirements of Work:
- Provide a copy of your Driver’s License in good standing.
- Have and provide proof of auto insurance every six months.
- Lifting and carrying up to 20 lbs.
- Sign a liability waiver.
- Pass a background check.
Training Provided: The Library will meet with the volunteer as part of the orientating process. Forms and expectations will be gone over during the initial meeting.
