Who We Are
Mission: From homelessness to coming home, Pillars provides shelter, support, and solutions to address the housing needs in our community.
Pillars was formed on October 1, 2018, through the merger of three legacy organizations—Homeless Connections, Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities, and the Fox Valley Warming Shelter. Together, we provide comprehensive solutions to address homelessness and housing challenges in our community.
With roots dating back to 1981, our legacy organizations have a rich history of impact:
- Homeless Connections built a 78-bed shelter and offered vital services like outreach, prevention, and housing support.
- Housing Partnership of the Fox Cities provided affordable housing and support for diverse populations, serving over 400 individuals annually.
- Fox Valley Warming Shelter grew from a rotating shelter to a permanent facility, helping nearly 600 individuals each year.
Today, Pillars continues this legacy by offering shelter, support, and housing solutions to meet the evolving needs of individuals and families in our community.
What We Do
Pillars provides over 45,000 nights of shelter each year to adults & families experiencing homeless, and provides safe, affordable homes for almost 150 households each year. Every individual that stays with Pillars receives customized case management, and group/individual counseling providing individuals with tools and resources, guiding them to financial independence and self-sufficiency.
Pillars utilizes volunteers on a daily basis; whether it be preparing and serving a hot meal, monitoring the front desk, redirecting clients and donors to where they need to be, or providing home restoration to one of the 100+ properties that Pillars owns throughout the Fox Cities. Pillars has over 25,000 volunteer hours each year, and we cannot wait to have you join the volunteer corps!
