Position Overview:
The Foot & Nail Care Clinic Support Volunteer assists the Foot and Nail Care Registered Nurse by providing non-clinical support to ensure a welcoming, organized, and efficient clinic experience for residents, tenants, patients, and community clients. This volunteer plays a valuable role in hospitality, organization, and service excellence by creating an environment where everyone feels comfortable, respected, and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinic Preparation & Turnover: Assist with room set-up and reset between clients, including changing linens, sanitizing non-medical surfaces, and organizing supplies as directed.
Client Check-In & Scheduling Support: Welcome clients upon arrival, confirm appointment times, assist with sign-in, and communicate wait times when needed.
Hospitality / Concierge Services: Offer warm, friendly assistance to those being served, including helping with wayfinding, hydration, comfort needs, or escorting clients to and from the clinic area if appropriate.
Administrative Support: Help with appointment reminders, schedule coordination, or clerical tasks under RN and program direction.
Payment Handling: Accept and process client payments following established procedures and ensure confidentiality and accuracy.
Environment Maintenance: Ensure the clinic area remains clean, tidy, and well-organized throughout service hours.
Team Collaboration: Work respectfully and professionally with the Foot & Nail Care RN, St. Paul staff, and other volunteers to promote an excellent service experience.
What this role does NOT include
No direct patient care
No handling of medical instruments
No clinical tasks or assessment involvement
No documentation in medical records
