Join us as we provide support for homeowners to clean their terraces. If homeowners are onsite and wish for additional help, we can provide aid with carrying tree and yard waste to the terrace, raking the lawn, picking up home debris, or some limited other support.
This project requires the ability to stand and walk on uneven ground. If unable to move branches or rake, then volunteers need to be able to squeeze the handle of a trash picker tool.
Volunteers should dress for the day's weather and for being outside. For safety reasons, closed-toe shoes are recommended because of glass and other debris in the area. Volunteers should bring a water bottle, rakes, flat shovels and gloves if able.
Volunteers should meet at the Smith Park parking lot by the pavilion (338 Cleveland St) at 8am on Thursday, August 27.
Minors over 8 years old may participate if accompanied by parent/guardian.
